Some seek out therapists because of an affair or infidelity.  Affairs can happen in happy marriages as well as troubled ones. The good news is that most marriages not only survive infidelity, but can become stronger and more intimate after marriage counseling.

Any life change, or traumatic event, in a relationship can bring about many emotions, including sadness, confusion, and despair. The result of those thoughts and feelings can change communication patterns and increase solitude.   Together, we’ll develop a plan to address everything that you’re feeling, as well as your concerns, and we’ll collaboratively have a plan and set goals to get the relationship back on track.

Preventative Counseling

Preventative Counseling is a healthy option for all couples to explore and improve their relationship as they go through a life change or just find themselves bored.

For many couples, preventative counseling, is an important way of nurturing your relationship. It’s so easy to think therapy for couples is something that you only do when there are problems. That’s not the case. In fact, couples generally wait too long and find themselves in such a tough spot, that it takes a lot of work to “dig out” and get back to the good stuff.

Come in, and together, we can explore what is important for both of you to flourish in the relationship.  Preventative Counseling is a great option for you if you feel you have a strong, solid relationship, a strong sense of “we” and see yourselves as a unit that can communicate effectively. Your strong communication will allow you to address topics effectively and set yourselves up for a healthier future together.

Couples Intensives

Often time busy, professional couples do not have time to schedule 90 minutes of therapy a week for the several weeks in a row.  Sometimes, one or both travel for work, and may find it challenging to make time for the support they need.  More importantly, some couples may be in a very difficult place, fearing their relationship is completely hopeless.  For these couples, an Intensive Session may be the best option.  Some use this as a platform for the continuing support they may need.

Mosaic Mental Wellness offers both half-day and whole-day Intensive Sessions.  During this time, your therapist is dedicated to only you, your partner, and your needs.  You will complete assessments, learn tools to help build trust, and learn things to avoid in order to keep your relationship moving in a positive direction.

These counseling sessions are offered in downtown Wichita, walking distance to several hotel accommodations for those traveling from out of town. Contact us today for more information.
