Hey, I’m Amanda! I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, but I attended Fort Hays State University for college. My mom is from that area, and she always felt it was important for us to experience western Kansas. I really enjoyed my time at For Hays; it gave me the chance to grow and meet so many new people. At the same time, being away also helped me realize just how much I truly love Wichita, the sense of community it offers, and how much I wanted to come back and stay here.
While I was in college, I would come back home in the summers and work at my local Dairy Queen. Even now, I occasionally go back to help out making Dilly Bars or Buster Bars. While it was a simple summer job, it meant a lot to me. It wasn’t just about the ice cream (though that was a huge bonus); it was about the relationships. I got to know so many coworkers and regular customers, hear bits of their stories, and be part of their lives in a small but meaningful way. Those summers taught me so much and helped shape who I am. They reminded me how important connection is, and how even small everyday interactions can matter or brighten someone’s day.
I would love to be able to support you in making changes and having more joy in your life. If you are interested in scheduling, feel free to text or call 316-688-8390.
